Question 756266: If the product of two zeroes of polynomial 2x^3 + 3x^2 - 5x - 6 is 3, then find its third zero. Answer by sachi(548) (Show Source):
You can put this solution on YOUR website! LET f(x)=2x^3 + 3x^2 - 5x - 6
& the zeros are a,b&c
now ab=3 given.........1
but abc=-(-6)/2=6/2=3....2[product of zeros=-(constant term )/coeff of x^3]
now from 1 & 2
c=3/3=1= third zero
