You can put this solution on YOUR website!
mikes car gets and average of 28 mpg.
he starts his trip of 140 miles.
so the fuel used 140/28=5 gallon
there are 12 gallons of fuel in mikes car
so the fuel left=12-5=7 gallon at the end of his trip?

You can put this solution on YOUR website!
Mike's car gets an average of 28 mpg
With a tank of 12 gallons he will be able to drive
336 miles.
He drives 140 miles and has 336 - 140 = 196 miles
worth of fuel left.
196 miles / 28mpg = 7 gallons left.
Hope this helps
