You can put this solution on YOUR website!

                   |4| + |-3|

Rule for removing absolute value bars | |

1. If the number between the bars is POSITIVE,
just erase the bars and use the number between
2. If the number between the bars is NEGATIVE,
erase BOTH the bars AND the NEGATIVE SIGN.
3. If the number between the bars is 0, just
   write 0.

                  |4| + |-3| .

First we come to |4|. The number between the bars
is 4 which is POSITIVE, so just erase the bars
around the 4 and we have this:

                   4 + |-3| .

Next we come to |-3|. The number between the bars
is -3 which is NEGATIVE, so we erase BOTH the bars
AND the NEGATIVE SIGN, and we have

                   4 + 3 .

So the final answer is 7.
