If Mike types 6 pages a day he finishes a document in 45 days. How long will he take if he types 9 pages a day? 
The LCM of 6 and 9 is 18

If Mike types 6 pages a day he finishes 1 document in 45 days.
Therefore:
If Mike typed 18 pages a day he could finish 1 document in one-third
of 45 days, or 15 days.

How long will he take if he types 9 pages a day?
So If Mike typed only half as fast, or 9 pages a day, it would take him
twice as long as 15 days, or 30 days.

Answer: 30 days.
