present age of rahul is z yrs
as per given condition
x+y+z =80
as per second condition
age of each of age 3 yrs ago
will be
x-3
y-3
z-3
by addition
by subtracting both side 9
x-3+y-3+z-3 =80 -9
sum of there age 3 yrs ago was =80-9=71 yrs
ANSWER 71 yrs
