An x intercept always has a y value of zero. A y intercept always has an x value of zero. If we substitute those values in to the equation (separately) we can find the answers!
Try y=0.
-20x + 0 = 35
-20x = 35
Divide both sides by -20
X = 35/-20
Reduce to
X = -7/4
So the intercept is (-7/4, 0).
The same goes for the y intercept. Substitute 0 in for x.
-20(0) + y = 35
Y = 35
So the intercept is (0, 35).
