Add their rates of mowing
( 1 lawn / 3 hrs ) + ( 1 lawn / 5 hrs ) = ( 1 lawn / t hrs )
+1%2F3+%2B+1%2F5+=+1%2Ft+
Multiply both sides by +15t+
+5t+%2B+3t+=+15+
+8t+=+15+
+t+=+1.875+
It will take them 1.875 hrs
