g = 3m

but 25 years from now Marla will be half her Grandma's age.
m + 25 = 1%2F2(g+25)
Multiply both sides by 2, resulting in
2(m+25) = g + 25
2m + 50 = g + 25
2m = g + 25 - 50
2m = g - 25
Replace g with 3m
2m = 3m - 25
25 = 3m - 2m
25 = m
