Assuming you want rational numbers, your expression x%5E2-8x%2B1 is NOT factorable.

If you do accept irrational numbers, please ask this question again and say that you want or can accept irrational values in the binomial factors. So far, I am finding ONE OF the constant terms is 4-sqrt%2815%29 OR 4%2Bsqrt%2815%29 ... and the other.... ...?
