Question 751562: hi how do you find the radius of a sphere given the volume. i know the formula and i did it on my calculator but the number doesnt seem right. the volume is 3000 can you explain the steps and the answer. thanks so much Found 2 solutions by Cromlix, lynnlo:Answer by Cromlix(4381) (Show Source):
You can put this solution on YOUR website! Volume of a sphere = 4/3 pi r^3
3000 = 4/3 pi r^3
3000/4/3*pi = r^3
716.2 = r^3
r = cube root of 716.2 = 8.95 (2 decimal places)
You can put this solution on YOUR website! VOLUME OF A SPHERE 4/3 PI ^3
3000=4/3PI R^3
3000/4/3*PI=R^3
716.2=R^3
R=716.2===8.95
(1)MULTIPLY THE VOLUME BY 3
(2)DIVIDE THE ANSWER IN (1) BY 3 PI THAT WILL GIVE YOU THE QUOTIENT
(3)CALCULATE THE CUBE ROOT OF (2)
