Question 750966: +7%2B3%28x%2B1%29=2x%2B9.+
Okay, so neither me, nor my mom, understand this question. Here is what I have tried so far.
Work:
+7%2B3%28x%2B1%29=2x%2B9+
+10%28x%2B1%29=2x%2B9+
+10x%2B10=2x%2B9+
+-9%2B10=-10x%2B2x+
+1=-8x+
+x=%28-8%29%2F1+
+x=-8+
Many thanks,
Sarah

You can put this solution on YOUR website!
+7%2B3%28x%2B1%29=2x%2B9.+
order matters.
The 3(x+1) gets done first, The 3 has to multiply what's inside the parenthesis first.
7+3x+3=2x+9
3x+10=2x+9
x=-1
