Solved by pluggable solver: Find the equation of line going through points
hahaWe are trying to find equation of form y=ax+b, where a is slope, and b is intercept, which passes through points (x1, y1) = (1, -2) and (x2, y2) = (3, 4).
Slope a is a+=+%28y%5B2%5D-y%5B1%5D%29%2F%28x%5B2%5D-x%5B1%5D%29+=+%284--2%29%2F%283-1%29+=+3.
Intercept is found from equation a%2Ax%5B1%5D%2Bb+=+y%5B1%5D, or 3%2A1+%2Bb+=+-5. From that,
intercept b is b=y%5B1%5D-a%2Ax%5B1%5D, or b=-2-3%2A1+=+-5.

y=(3)x + (-5)

Your graph:

since y=3x+-5 is slope-intercept form y=mx+%2Bb where m+ is a slope and b is a y-intercept
so, y-intercept is b=-5; point (0,-5)

x-intercept: set y=0 to find x-intercept
0=3x+-5
5=3x
5%2F3=x
1.67=x...x-intercept is 1.67; point (0,0)
