You can put this solution on YOUR website!
1%2F2x-3%2F10x = x - 1%2F2
we want to get rid of the denominators, multiply each term by 10
10*1%2F2x-10*3%2F10x = 10*x - 10*1%2F2
CAncel the denominators and we have:
5x - 3x = 10x - 5
2x = 10x - 5
5 = 10x - 2x
5 = 8x
x = 5%2F8

You can put this solution on YOUR website!
First, you need to get a common denominator on the left:
1%2F2%2Ax-3%2F10%2Ax=x-1%2F2
Multiply x/2 by 5/5:
1%2F2%2Ax%2A5%2F5-3%2F10%2Ax=x-1%2F2

5x%2F10-3%2F10%2Ax=x-1%2F2

2x%2F10=x-1%2F2
Reduce:
x%2F5=x-1%2F2
Subtract x from both sides:
x%2F5-x=+-1%2F2

x%2F5-5x%2F5=+-1%2F2

-4x%2F5=+-1%2F2

Multiply both sides by -5/4:
x=+-1%2F2%2A-5%2F4

x=5%2F8
