====================
1+=+log%283%2C3%29
----
log%283%2C%282x%2B5%29%2F%28x-8%29%29+=+log%283%2C3%29
%282x%2B5%29%2F%28x-8%29+=+3

You can put this solution on YOUR website!
From where you are, raise 3 to both sides (because it's base 3) to get rid of the log:
log%28%282x%2B5%29%2F%28x-8%29%29+=+1

3%5E%28log%28%282x%2B5%29%2F%28x-8%29%29%29+=+3%5E1 The top is getting cut off, sorry.

%282x%2B5%29%2F%28x-8%29=3
Now use cross products to solve:
%282x%2B5%29%2F%28x-8%29=3%2F1
1%282x%2B5%29=3%28x-8%29
Distribute:
2x%2B5=3x-24
Subtract 2x from both sides:
5=x-24
Add 24 to both sides:
29=x
