Amso can dig a hole in 6 hrs, Ndou candig the same hole in 4 hrs. How long would it take both Amso and Iblis to dig half a hole if they worked together?

In 1 hour, Amso digs 1/6 of the hole, Ndou digs 1/4.
Together, they dig 1/6 + 1/4 = 10/24 holes/hour
--> 24/10 hours/hole
= 2.4 hours

Amso rate = 1/6 job/hr
Ndou rate = 1/4 job/hr
Together rate = 1/x job/hr

Equation:
rate + rate = together rate
1/4 + 1/6 = 1/x
-------
3x + 2x = 12
-----
5x = 12
x = 12/5 = 2.8 hrs (time to do the job together)
