Question 748975: Hello, I am having trouble with the following question.
'A frog jumps straight up off the ground with an initial vertical velocity of 2 feet per second. After how many seconds does the frog land on the ground?'
I know that I am supposed to use the formula
h=-16t^2+vt+s
Here is what I have simplified it to:
0=-16t^2+2t
I am not sure what to do now. (or even if the simplified equation above is correct)

we are given
h=-16t^2+vt+s
solve the equation for h=0 and note that s is initial height above ground which in this case is 0
0=-16t^2+2t+0
divide both sides of = by 2
0=-8t^2+t and we have
t(-8t+1)=0
solution is t = 0 or t=1/8 second
use t = 1/8 second
