Hello,
We can set this us as a proportion.
First change 20 minutes to hours which is 1/3 hr or approx .33 hours.
Now we can set it up as:
33/1=x/.33
Cross multiply:
x=10.89 miles.
Makes sense?

A car is traveling at a rate of 33 miles per hour. At this rate, how many miles will the car will travel in 20 minutes
--------------
20 mins = 1/3 hours
d = r*t
d = 33*(1/3) = 11 miles
