This would be easier if the bases were the same. You can do something with 8=2%5E3.

The left member, 8%5E%288x%2B4%29=%282%5E3%29%5E%288x%2B4%29 and you may know another rule about exponents,...
... = 2%5E%28%283%288x%2B4%29%29%29
