Question 746618: I need help asap with this questions, i cant seem to figure it out.
Given that x is a normal variable with mean μ = 42 and standard deviation σ = 7.1, find the following probabilities. (Round your answers to four decimal places.)
(a) P(x ≤ 60)

(b) P(x ≥ 50)

(c) P(50 ≤ x ≤ 60)

You can put this solution on YOUR website!
Given that x is a normal variable with mean μ = 42 and standard deviation σ = 7.1, find the following probabilities. (Round your answers to four decimal places.)
(a) P(x ≤ 60)
z(60) = (60-42)/7.1 = 2.5352
P(x <= 60) = P(z <= 2.5352) = 0.9944
--------------------------------------
Do the same with "b" and with "c":
(b) P(x ≥ 50)
Find the z-value of 50.
Then find the probability z is greater or equal to that z-value.
--------------------
(c) P(50 ≤ x ≤ 60)
Find the z-values
Find the probability z is less than z(60)- probability z is less that z(50).
