Question 7466: -6(4-3x)-18+4
TRIED -(6)x4 -6(3x) - 18 + 4x
-24 + 18x - 18 +4x
now lost
I am just returning to college after almost 25 years. I get stuck on a few problems but the rest are a breeze. I think I'm on the right track. Have two more I'm stuck on. Please explain if you have the time
1/4d + 2 - 3/5d + 5
last one.....
5/6x - 1/3 (2x-6)
Thanks!

You can put this solution on YOUR website! first off, you must be more careful in what you write...you have +4 in the question and then it becomes 4x somehow?
secondly, more importantly, what is it you are trying to do, you don't actually say? Just expand and simplify?
Thirdly, when you quote division, sucu as 1/4d, does this mean (1/4)d or 1/(4d)..it is open to interpretation.
The use of brackets is very important to cut out imbiguity in maths.
