You can put this solution on YOUR website! b. Two research workers classified some people in income groups on the basis of sampling studies. Their results are as follow:
Investigators Income groups Total
Poor Middle Rich
A 160 30 10 200
B 140 120 40 300
Total 300 15 50 500
Show that the sampling technique of at least one research worker is defective.
-----
Ho: The means are equal
Ha: At least one of the means is different
-------
I ran a Chi-Sq Test on the 3 by 4 set of data and got the following:
test stat: Chi-Sq = 172.092
p-value: 1.62x10^-34
----
Conclusion: Since the p-value is less that 1% reject Ho at the 1%
level of significance.
