Question 745416: I need help with expanding a logarithmic expression.
The expression is log base 6 (7*11)
The answer I got was
log base 6 7 + log base 6 + 11
but I was also thinking that it might just be log base 6 77?
I don't know if either of those are right or if I'm totally wrong.
I know the propriety for multiplication of logs is (logb(xy) = logbx + logby.) So would that mean my first answer is correct or do I have to add the logbx and logbx together? The solver I entered this into said it was log base 6 77 but I feel that my first answer is the correct one.
