Every time I do it I get a different answer.Please, show how you did it.

Every time I do it I get a different answer.Please, show how you did it.

Let the amount of 25% acid to be mixed, be T
Then amount of 50% acid to be mixed = 30 – T
Therefore, .25T + .5(30 – T) = .4(30)
.25T + 15 - .5T = 12
.25T - .5T = 12 – 15
- .25T = - 3
T, or amount of 25% acid to be mixed = %28-+3%29%2F-+.25, or highlight_green%2812+L%29

Amount of 50% acid to be mixed = 30 – 12, or highlight_green%2818L%29
