You can put this solution on YOUR website!

Let the amount of magazines he can buy be M

Then the amount of candy bars he can buy = 3M

Total cost of magazines = 2.5M, and total cost of candy bars = .7(3M), or 2.1M

Since he has $20 to spend, then we can say that: 2.5M+%2B+2.1M+%3C=+20 -----4.6M+%3C=+20

Amount of magazines he can buy, or M+%3C=+20%2F4.6 ----- M+%3C=+4.35highlight_green%284%29

If he buys 4 magazines, then he can buy 3M, or 3(4), or highlight_green%2812%29 candy bars.

$1.60 would be left over though, so he can get more candy bars.

You can do the check!!
