log(base 5) x+2 +log(base 5) x-2=1
log(base 5) ((x+2)(x-2)) =log(base5)5
x^2-4=5
x^2=9
x= +/- 3
ignore negative
x=3



b) log(base 5)x^2-4 = 1
log(base 5)x^2-4 = log (base5)5
x^2-4=5
x^2=9
x= +/-3
