Question 744739: how do you write and equation in funtion form? then graph it i cant figure this one out! 15x+y=20
i tried to subtract 15 from 15 then just put it under 20 so i ended up with y=20/15. we learmed this in class 2 days ago but im having trouble remembering.

You can put this solution on YOUR website! Usually, 'y' is the dependant variable and x is the independent variable. Function form would then be to arrange y as a function of x. You have a linear equation in x and y. Just solve for y. The result will be in function form.
Starting with the given 15x+y=20:
Find the additive inverse of 15x. Add this number to left side and right side. Simplify. THAT is your function!
