Question 744592: I am trying to help my child with a factoring problem. The teacher says factor completely. She has 2 problems one I get really easy x^2 - 64. That is (x-8)+(x+8). However 27x^2-300 i can get to 3(9x^2-100) but I cannot come up with a form after that that makes since, is this factored completely?

You can put this solution on YOUR website! x^2 - 64 = (x + 8)(x - 8) no + between brackets
27x^2 - 300 => 3(9x^2 - 100) => 3(3x - 10)(3x + 10)
Hope this helps
