I am assuming that the "sic" girls is actually six.

Let x equal the group size. 60% of the initial group were boys and, after losing six girls and adding 6 boys, the final percentage of boys was 75.

In algebrese : .6x%2B6=.75x or 6=.15x so

x=40

24 boys and 16 girls
