You can put this solution on YOUR website!
MULTIPLY EQUATION 1 BY -3 & THE SECOND ONE BY 2 & ADD
-6X-9Y=-6
6X-8Y=32
--------------------------------
-17Y=26
Y=26/-17
Y=-26/17ANSWER. NOW SUBSTITUTE (-26/17) FOR Y & SOLVE FOR X
2X+3*-26/17=2
2X-78/17=2
2X=2+78/17
2X=(34+78)/17
2X=112/17
X=112/17*1/2
X=112/34
X=56/17 ANSWER.

You can put this solution on YOUR website!
2x + 3y = 2
3x - 4y = 16

4(2x + 3y = 2)
+3(3x - 4y = 16)

8x + 12y = 8
9x - 12y = 48
==========
17x = 56
x = 56/17

2(56/17) + 3y = 2
112/17 + 3y = 2
112 + 51y = 34
51y = -78
y = -26/17
