The internal angles of a polygon = (n-2)*180 where n is the number of sides. n=5, so in a pentagon the internal angles are (3)*180 = 540 degrees.


x+2x+3x+4x+5x = 540


15x=540


x=36.


The smallest angle is x = 36 degrees.
