You can put this solution on YOUR website!
Simplify:
.
%288x%5E3-6x%5E2%2B2x%29%2F%284x%2B1%29
.
First look for common factors in the three terms of the numerator. Notice that each term
has an x. Also notice that the numerical numbers of each term are divisible by 2. Therefore,
we can pull out a 2x from every term and make it a multiplier of what's left. When we do that
the numerator becomes:
.
2x%2A%284x%5E2+-+3x+%2B+1%29
.
As a check you can multiply this out to see if you don't get back to the original numerator.
.
Unfortunately, there are no more real factors in the numerator so that's as far as you
can go with this one. The answer is:
.
%282x%2A%284x%5E2+-+3x+%2B+1%29%29%2F%284x%2B1%29
.
I'm not sure how much this helps, but it tells you that there are no more real factors in
the numerator.
