Question 741613: I'm having issues with this one question.
2 cos 4x+ radical 3=0
I managed to get through some of it but got stuck at:
cos 4x=(-radical3/2) or cos 4x=(-radical3 over 2)
If I can get some really quick help it would be greatly appreciated!

You can put this solution on YOUR website!
2 cos 4x+ radical 3=0
----
2*cos(4x) = sqrt(3)
-----
cos(4x) = [sqrt(3)]/2
----------------------------
4x = 60 degrees or 4x = -60 degrees
------
x = 15 degrees or x = -15 degrees
