That way, once you have solved whatever equation results from that choice and the parameters of the problem, you have your answer directly. So, with that in mind, let represent the cost of the computer.
Then we know that the freshmen have agreed to raise of the money, and the sophomores have agreed to raise of the money. And finally we know that once and are subtracted from the cost of the computer, $400 remains to be paid by the SGA. Therefore:
