Question 740156: You roll a pair of dice 24 times. What is the probability of seeing at least one total that is 11?

I know there are 36^24 possible outcomes, there are only two ways to get 11 and one to get anything higher than that so would the numerator be 3?

You can put this solution on YOUR website!
probability of getting 11 with both dice is 2/36
since there are 36 ways dice can be rolled i.e (1,2),(1,3).....(6,6)
and there are two ways 11 comes up, hence p = 2/36
now this implies there is (34/36) probability that 11 will not come up
and
(34/36)**24 probability that 11 will never show when the dice are rolled
24 times.
then
1- (34/36)**24 probability that 11 will appear at least once
