You can put this solution on YOUR website! Use the Pythagorean theorem to determine the length of each line segment. Where appropriate,round to the nearest hundredth.
the points in the line are: (1,-1) and (3,2)
Formula: distance = sqrt[(change in x)^2 + (change in y)2]
Problem: d=sqrt[(3-1)^2 + (2--1)^2]=sqrt[2^2 + 3^2]=sqrt[13]
=======================
Problem # 20 section 9.6
Directions: Find the distance between each pair of points.
(-3,0) and (4,0)
d=sqrt[(4--3)^2 + (0-0)^2] = sqrt[7^2 + 0^2] = sqrt[49] = 7
