Question 738663: W varies inversely with square of T.
1) Write the equation that models this relationship.
2) If W =63 when T is 3, find the value of W( to the nearest 10th) when T is 12.

You can put this solution on YOUR website!
we know "W varies inversely with square of T", so we can write the proportion as
W = k / (T^2) where k is the constant of proportionality
for W=63 when T is 3 we have
63 = k / 3^2 and k = 63 * 9 = 567
now when T = 12, we have
W = 567 / 12 = 47.3
