Question 738577: Hi,I was wondering if you could help me with this problem. I'm having trouble going through the steps. Thank you so much in advance!
t a diving competition, divers will jump off a 64-foot high cliff. The diver's height above the water, at time t, is given by the equation h = -16t squared + 64. How long will it take the diver to hit the water and have a height of 0?

You can put this solution on YOUR website!
0+=+-16t%5E2+%2B+64

16t%5E2+=+64

t%5E2+=+4

t = + or - 2

The diver doesn't have a time machine, so the -2 isn't valid in the real world. It takes the diver 2 seconds to hit the water.

But guess what, someone drained the pool. HAHAHAHA!!!!!!!!!!
