We can use long method for this problem





                     x + 3

        x+2 /x^2 + 5x + 10 

           -(x^2 + 2x)          Change the signs. becomes -x^2 - 2x

                   3x + 10      Bring down 10

                 -(3x + 6 )    Change the sign becomes, -3x - 6

                ___________

                        4     Remainder

x^2 +5x +10 / x + 2 = x + 3 + _______

                               x + 2
