I've put the info in a chart and got the equasion
(x/6)+(x/8)=1
but I'm not really sure what else i need to do.

You can put this solution on YOUR website! ok, we have the following equation to solve for x
(x/6)+(x/8)=1
multiply both sides of the = with 24 (denominator with factors 6 and 8)
4x + 3x = 24 and 7x = 24
x = 3 and 3/7 hours to complete the job with both working together
