Question 73748: how do I give an example of the translation (carry over, slide) of a triangle?

You can put this solution on YOUR website! Get a piece of Graph paper.
Draw a triangle. (any kind will work)
If you have to move your triangle three squares to the right, add three squares to the bottom of your triangle and put a point. It is different for the top, however, if you have to move it one extra space to make it the same. Put a point. You should have two dots that are opposite each other. on the bottom dot, count however many squares your triangle is and put another dot. There. You should have the basic dot pattern for a triangle. connect the dots and wahla! You have a translated triangle.
