Question 737210: How can you find the dimensions of a rectangle when you know the area and an equation for the perimeter?
 Answer by josgarithmetic(39630)      (Show Source):
You can put this solution on YOUR website! Formula for area of a rectangle: A=L*W, if L is length and W is width.
Formula for perimeter of a rectangle: P=2(L+W).

The question's description specifies that A and P are known but L and W are unknown.

Is that much help enough for you yet? (Big HINT, two equations and the same two unknowns, and use of substitution, and solving for "any variable in a formula").
