You can put this solution on YOUR website!
How many gallons of a 4% acid solution should be mixed with 30 gallons of a 14% acid solution to obtain a mixture that is 8% acid
------
Equation:
acid + acid = acid
0.04x + 0.14*30 = 0.08*(x+30)
-----
4x + 14*30 = 8x + 8*30
4x = 6*30
x = 45 gallons (amt of 4% solution needed)
