since 'less than 4' occurred 20 out of 25 times we start by forming a fraction with those numbers and the converting this to a percentage.
so we get
20%2F25
this fraction can be reduced, cancelled, written in its lowest terms as
4%2F5
we now convert this into a percentage
divide the top number by the bottom then multiply by 100
i.e. 4 divided by 5 gives 0.8
multiplying this by 100 gives 80%
so the experimental probability of rolling a number less than 4 is 80%
