The standard form is
+A%2Ax+%2B+B%2Ay+=+C+
You are given:
+y+=+3x+%2B+2+ ( this is the slope-intercept form )
Subtract +y+ from both sides
+0+=+3x+-+y+%2B+2+
Now just switch the 2 sides of the equation.
This doesn't change anything, so it's OK
+3x+-+y+%2B+2+=+0+
Subtract +2+ from both sides
+3x+-+y+=+-2+
This is now in the standard form with
+A+=+3+ and +B+=+-1+ and +C+=+-2+
