Add the two equation together to get
8x%2B+0+=+0. So {{8x=0}}} and finally x=0
Now to get y:
Multiply the second equation by -1 to get
-4x%2B3y=24
Now add this equation to the first to get
6y=48. And so y=8
Now check in both equations.
