we are given y= -4/5x-1, notice this equation is the standard form
y=mx+b where m is the slope (y/x) of the line and b is the y intercept
so if x=0, y=-1 which gives us the point (0, -1)
if y=0, then x=-1.25 which gives us the point (-1.25, 0)
graph the points and connect them
notice that the slope is -(4/5) which indicates from any point on the line you can move 4 grid points below (negative y) and 5 grid points to the right (positive x) OR you can move 4 grid point above (positive y) and 5 grid points to the left (negative x) and you will find a point on the line!
