Question 734630: I am really having trouble understanding how to solve a system of equations by graphing. Can someone please help me understand how to set up and work through these types of problems?
I do not want to give the problems I have because they are homework, and I want to work my own homework. If you could just provide examples of how to set up, work, and graph I would be grateful.

You can put this solution on YOUR website! -3x-2y = 6 .............1
3x-y = 12 .............2

when x= 0, y=-3(0,-3)
when y = 0,x=-2(-2,0)
Equation 2
when x= 0,y=-12 (0,-12)
when y =0,x=4(4,0)
Plot these points and draw the lines.
The point of intersection is the solution of the system.
The solution is (2,-6)
