Question 732689: When simplifying radicals like this one: 3sqrt%283%29+%2F+%28-2%29+%2B+sqrt%286%29
****The sqrt+%286%29 is supposed to be next to the (-2)****
Do you multiply both top and bottom by -2-sqrt%286%29?
And how do you multiply 3sqrt%283%29 with (-2-sqrt(6)}}}
I can get the bottom half just fine, the top is just throwing me off a bit.
Thank you!

You can put this solution on YOUR website!

3sqrt%283%29+%2F+%28-2%29+%2B+sqrt%286%29

3sqrt%283%29+%2F+%28-2%29+-2sqrt%286%29%2F-2

%283sqrt%283%29-2sqrt%286%29%29%2F-2

%283sqrt%283%29-2sqrt%282%2A3%29%29%2F-2
%283sqrt%283%29-2sqrt%282%29%2Asqrt%283%29%29%2F-2

sqrt%283%29%283-2sqrt%282%29%29%2F-2

1.73%283-2%2A1.41%29%2F-2
1.73%283-2.82%29%2F-2
1.73%280.18%29%2F-2
0.3114%29%2F-2

or just do it like this:
3sqrt%283%29+%2F+%28-2%29+%2B+sqrt%286%29
%283%2A1.73%29+%2F+%28-2%29+%2B2.45
