Question 732082: Hello if you could help me with this I'd appreciate it. This is what I have so far, but I don't know how to determine the probability that it is NOT containing the letter G. I've found the odds. What am I missing?
For example, there are balls marked b1, b2, up to b15; i16, i17, up to i30; and so on. Assuming one bingo ball is selected at random, determine the probability against it containing the letter G.
Total G balls =15
Total Non-G balls=60
Total number of balls=75
60/75
15/75
60/75*15/75=60/15
60/15=4/1
Odds against it being the G ball =4:1

You can put this solution on YOUR website! If the problem is written correctly, you have overly complicated your answer.
On a single draw the probability against it containing G, aka the probability of not G, is (# of balls that aren't G)/(total number of balls) = 60/75 = 4/5 = 80%.
