You can put this solution on YOUR website!
50x² - 50x - 12
we first take the product of the co-efficient of x² and the constant term and start grouping them in pairs such that the sum of their factors is -50

50*(-12) = 600
50*(-12) can also be written as 5*(-120) whose sum of the factors is 5+(-120) = -115 not equal to -50
50*(-12) = 10*(-60) whose sum of the factors is 10+(-60) = -50 (bingo)
hence we group the expression as
50x2 + (10-60)x - 12
50x2 + 10x - 60x - 12
10x(5x+1) - 12(5x+1)
(10x-12)*(5x+1)
It can be further resolved taking 2 out of the brackets as a common factor
2*(5x-6)*(5x+1)
